SUNDAY Art Festival London

 

This October, SUNDAY art fair will be held in London's Ambika P3 space on Marylebone Road, 

 

SUNDAY is an international, gallery-led art fair showing a selection of 20 young galleries who will be exhibiting works by around 60 emerging international artists.

 

Ambika P3 is a 14,00 square foot, triple-height subterranean space converted from a former concrete testing facility, under the University of Westminster's School of Architecture campus.

 

Organized by three of the participating galleries (Limoncello London, Croy Nielsen Berlin, Tulips and Roses Brussels) Entry to SUNDAY is free and open to all, with a selection of journals and publications for sale from Glasgow's independent bookshop Aye Aye Books and Berlin's Publishing house Archive Books. There will also be a cafe and bar providing refreshments throughout.

 

 
EXHIBITIONS
Zadoc Nava Belfast Gallery

 

Belfast Exposed is presenting Zadoc Nava's photographic series "Shadowlands" on the streets of Tehran, alongside his short film "House of Strength" which offers a rare glimpse into the hidden world of Persian martial arts. 

The exhibition will also mark the launch of Nava's photographic book, released by Black Dog Publishing and containing essays by David Bate and Amna Malik.

The converging media of photography and video has opened up new possibilities for photographers, giving artistic control over many more aspects of a commission and creating more opportunites for work.

SUN MOTION is Shot Up North's competitive showcase for stills photographers, based in the northern regions, from the Midlands to the Scottish Isles. using stills cameras to make movies in a professional context.

Works should be between 30 seconds and 5 minutes in length, may be commissioned or non-commissioned. and the movie should be entirely the result of the concept, direction and editing decisions of the photographer.

All selected works will appear in a special Shot Up North online showcase. Successful entries will be shown at the SUN 22 Premier Night in Leeds. One overall winner will be picked as the SUNMOTION movie of the year.
